# Bank Card Access

## Does the bank card draw directly on my gold/silver holdings?

The bank card does not withdraw directly from your gold or silver in your [Precious Metals Account](https://europacbank.com/products/metals-backed-account/).

You will need to liquidate some of your gold or silver first by placing a [sell order](/help/ebanking/trading-investing/invest-gold-silver.md). The cash proceeds will be deposited into your current account, where they can be loaded onto your bank card.

This process ensures that you are aware of the costs incurred with purchasing and selling physical metals, as well as protects you by ensuring no unauthorized parties will ever have access to your entire precious metals holdings.

If you are still interested in our bank card, you can follow this procedure to order one:

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.europacbank.com/help/faqs/precious-metals-account/card-access.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
